Getting Started FAQ
Initial Setup
Section titled “Initial Setup”I’ve subscribed - what do I do first?
- Follow the Quick Start Guide to connect your Whop, Discord, and TradingView accounts.
- Verify Pro indicators appear in TradingView’s “Invite-only scripts” section.
- Start with a single indicator like WaveTrend 4D on a clean chart.
- Use default parameters initially to establish a baseline.
- We recommend paper trading for at least 2 weeks before considering live trades.
What TradingView plan do I need?
To maximise the potential of the GYTS TradingView Suite, users should consider their TradingView subscription plan carefully. While our Community Edition (CE) indicators work on the Basic (Free) plan, you’ll need a paid plan to get the most out of our Professional Edition (Pro) tools.

- Complete GYTS Suite: Plus Plan or higher
- Professional Trading: Premium or better (for advanced features, backtesting and live trading)
Should I start with CE or Pro editions?
Start with Professional Editions (in the GYTS Goemon Warrior path) if:
- You are inspired by the GYTS philosophy and want to leverage the full suite of tools.
- You have trading experience and are serious about systematic trading.
- You want full customisation and plan to use multiple components.
Community Edition (CE) indicators are primarily for:
- Testing the core GYTS philosophy and concepts.
- Users on a very limited budget.
The Learning Path
Section titled “The Learning Path”What’s the recommended learning order for components?
We recommend mastering components one by one to understand their individual contribution. This is a learning path, not a strict technical requirement (except where noted).
- WaveTrend 4D (as your primary signal provider)
- Flux Composer (to aggregate signals)
- Market Regime Detector (to understand market context)
- Order Orchestrator (for execution logic and backtesting)
When should I add more components?
Add components only after mastering the previous one. Rushing leads to confusion and poor results.
Which timeframe should I start with?
The 1-hour (1h) timeframe is ideal for learning:
- It offers a good balance of signal frequency and clarity.
- It has less noise than lower timeframes but more opportunities than the daily chart.
Once you are comfortable with the system’s behaviour, you can adjust the timeframe to fit your personal trading style.
How long before I can trade live?
Patience is a key virtue in trading. We recommend a minimum timeline:
- 2 weeks: Learning the basics of each component.
- 2 weeks: Paper trading with your complete setup.
- 2 weeks: Live trading with small, controlled position sizes.
- Total: At least 6 weeks before considering normal position sizing.
Common Setup Issues
Section titled “Common Setup Issues”Signal Provider doesn’t appear in Flux Composer
This is our most common support question. The fix is almost always related to the loading order of the indicators on your chart.
- Ensure the Signal Provider is fully loaded and visible on the same chart as the Flux Composer.
- Validate that the Signal Provider gives signals
- Try the dropdown again. If everything works, you can also “hide” or “collapse” the Signal Provider to keep your chart clean.
- Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R) or TradingView app if it’s still not visible.
How do I know my setup is working correctly?
Check these three things to confirm your setup is operational:
- Visual Confirmation: Signals (e.g., triangles) appear on the price chart or oscillators.
- No Errors: There are no “User Defined Error” or “Study Error” messages on your indicators.
- Reasonable Frequency: Signals appear periodically, not on every single bar and not never.
Always use the default parameters first to establish a working baseline before you start tuning.
What parameters should I start with?
Always start with the default parameters.
- Paper trade with defaults for at least one week to understand the baseline behaviour.
- Note the signal quality and frequency.
- Only then, adjust one parameter at a time in small increments (e.g., ±0.1).
- Test each change for several days to observe its effect.
Never change multiple parameters at once, as you won’t know which change caused the different outcome.

Section titled “Subscription & Access”What’s the difference between Paths and Editions?
Subscription Paths (Your Tier):
- Algo Apprentice: Free, access to CE indicators only.
